For Mac OS users, here's how to retrieve formatted FAT32 data on Mac OS
A FAT32, short for File Allocation Table 32, is a file system format used on almost all computers types. The benefits of using FAT32 file format system are: any data can be written to and accessed from any operating systems; it has no inbuilt security system which makes accessing data on it an easy task.
Performing formatted FAT32 recovery:
Any drive with FAT32 file format system can be formatted by using Disk Utility application on a Windows system. But before formatting or re-formatting any drive, the first rule is to create a backup of all important data on that drive. However, if you did not feel necessary to create a backup of if you were not able to do it due to reasons best known to you at the time of formatting the drive, you’d have lost all data after formatting the drive. Nevertheless, you can still perform formatted FAT32 recovery provided that a new volume or drive has not been created or formatted in the earlier drive’s place. Carrying out formatted FAT32 recovery on Windows is possible is because of the following reason. When Disk Management utility erases a volume from a dynamic disk drive, it deletes the volume's file-system boot sector, that is, sector 0 of the volume, and then erases the volume entry from the Disk Management utility’s private region database, keeping rest of the drive data intact. As a FAT32 file format volume maintains backup boot sectors, you can restore formatted FAT32 data by restoring the boot sector.
Restoring data after formatting requires technical skills and is a complicated process. Should anything go wrong during the process, you permanently lose all data from that drive. But, otherwise restoring formatted FAT32 data is not possible unless you use a powerful formatted recovery tool called Remo Recover.
