A real-time scenario: I use Macintosh operating system and have installed the same OS X on my laptop as well as on my desktop. I prefer Mac OS X because of its advanced security features compared to other operating systems. Mac releases its newer versions of operating systems with approximate gap of one year or more. However, yesterday I had a bad experience with my Mac OS X laptop. I was working on my current assignment which required some installation of third party software. For that I installed a software, but after some time my system got turned off and on trying to start it failed to boot up. However, it displayed an error message that stated some necessary files are not found in system directory and suggested me to re-install the OS. In fear of losing data, I quickly reinstalled Mac OS X. But I forgot that even reinstallation removes the data from drive. Eventually I messed up everything. Unluckily I am not that good with technical knowledge and have no idea what to do now. So please guide me to the right way and help me to recover my data after reinstalling Mac OS X.
